Village Panchayat Department

The Village Panchayat Department is a major component of rural development of the Zilla Parishad. Under the three-tier Panchayat Raj system, the establishment of Gram Panchayat Officers who are very close to the people at the village level and the establishment that solves the problems of the district at the village level is working under this department. Various development schemes of Zilla Parishad are implemented through Gram Panchayat. This department also controls the collection of village panchayat and water supply tax. There are total 870 Gram Panchayats in Buldhana district.
