Shabari Awas Yojana

About the scheme:- Shabari Awas Yojana is being implemented in the district as per the government resolution dated 28th March 2013 to provide scheme benefits to Scheduled Tribes.

Nature of Scheme:- Under the Tribal Upgrading Scheme, to provide houses with a floor area of ​​269.00 sq. ft. to the beneficiaries of Scheduled Tribes in the districts falling under the Tribal Area and to the eligible beneficiaries of Scheduled Tribes in the districts outside the Tribal Area. This will include a sitting room (3.14 x 2.45 m.), bathroom and toilet.

Grant of the scheme-
1) Under Shabari Awas Yojana, the grant per gharkul has been fixed at Rs. 1.20 lakh for ordinary area and Rs. 1.30 lakh for hilly area.
2) Under Swachh Bharat Mission Rural, a provision of Rs. 12,000/- has been made for the construction of toilets for the beneficiaries of the said scheme.
3) In addition to the Gharkul assistance, there is a provision of 90/95 days of unskilled labor under MNREGA for the construction of Gharkul

Eligibility/Criteria:-

1) The beneficiary should belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
2) The beneficiary should have resided in the state of Maharashtra for at least 15 years.
3) The beneficiary should be homeless or should not have a permanent house,
4) The annual income limit of the applicant’s family is Rs. 1.20 lakh for rural areas.
5) The beneficiary should have his own land of at least 269 sq. ft. or the house will be built in the place where he has his own kutcha house,
6) The benefit of this scheme is given to only one person in the family.
7) If the land is less available, more than two joint construction group housing can be done by all the eligible interested beneficiaries of that place.
8) Should not have availed the benefit of any other government housing scheme.
9) Scheduled Tribes included in Form D of the Social and Economic and Caste Survey 2011 who fulfill the updated rural criteria of Shabari Awas Yojana will be eligible as beneficiaries of Shabari Awas Gharkul Gramin Scheme.
