    District Rural Development Agency

    The District Rural Development Agency has been established in the state under the Registration of Societies Act 1860 and the Bombay Public Trustee Act 1950 for the implementation of centrally awarded schemes. Through the District Rural Development System, various schemes are implemented to raise the economic level of the people below the poverty line. For this, financial assistance is provided by the central and state governments. For the effective implementation of the said schemes, a new framework has been implemented vide Government Decision No.GRAP 2003/Pro.No.1743/Yojana-5 Mantralaya Mumbai-400 032 dated March 17, 2004.
