Vision & Mission

The Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961, established Zilla Parishads for each district in Maharashtra. The Zilla Parishad is an advisory, coordinating, and supervisory body that coordinates the activities of the Panchayats. Some of the activities coordinated by the Zilla Parishad include: Education, Public Health, Minor irrigation works, water and sanitation, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry etc.
