Education Department (Secondary)

The Department of Secondary Education is functioning under the Department of School Education of the Government of Maharashtra and the said Department is functioning under the Zilla Parishad. Under the Department of Secondary Education, all the government approved secondary schools in the district are running and they are subsidized, unaided, permanently unaided and there are schools under various medium institutions. In this, the administration of such schools as Class 5 to Class 10, Class 5 to Class 12, Class 8 to Class 10, Class 8 to Class 12 is conducted through this department. In all the above schools, many types of community-oriented student-oriented schemes of the government are implemented. Every year the appointment is made as per the government criteria and accordingly the salary of the teachers in the aided schools is paid through the Pay Unit. The Education Officer (Secondary) as the Head of both the Pay Unit and the Secondary Education Department looks after the work and with the help of his subordinate officers/employees various schemes are delivered to the beneficiaries.
